Meet Kathleen Alexander
When you get to know Kathleen, you will
discover a person who can’t be easily pigeonholed. She’s
unassuming, quick witted and has a good sense of humour. A
self confessed geek who excelled academically, Kathleen
keeps her “head” in check with a healthy dose of
activities driven by her “heart”. Whether it’s
exploring a new place for the first time, climbing a tree
despite her fear of heights, or working with her clients
on their business and career development, Kathleen
approaches life with an infectious sense of
enthusiasm.
The Call To
Adventure
Kathleen grew up in Malaysia and moved to the US to
pursue her studies. After completing a BA in Business
Management, she started her first job in a reputable
advertising agency in Kuala Lumpur. She then moved to
Hong Kong to work for some of the world’s largest media
companies, relocating to Sydney in 2000 as Marketing Director
for Cartoon Network & Turner Classic Movies.
Whilst the rise up the corporate ladder was everything she
had wanted, she soon realised it wasn’t all she thought it
would be.
After a period of tossing between the safety of
following a well-trodden path and heeding the call to
adventure, she finally decided on the latter. Much to the
horror of her mother, she resigned from her job and embarked on
a journey that involved retraining, moving to Melbourne and
starting up Clever Fox from scratch.
A New
Beginning
When Kathleen established Clever Fox in 2004, she
focused on personal coaching services. As her clients
started getting rapid and tangible results, Kathleen’s
reputation grew. Confident in her abilities to help them
get hard hitting results, many of her clients returned for
assistance in specific areas relating to their career
development.
Clever Fox has evolved from being a purely coaching business
to one that offers a host of related solutions that help
individuals advance in their personal and professional
lives. Kathleen's experience in senior roles within the
business world, her insight into human behaviour and
her dedication to her clients have been cited as
reasons why clients choose her as their personal
coach.
Kathleen thrives on the multiplicity of her role as personal
change catalyst, career marketing strategist, confidante and
coach to her clients. Her blog, After The
Plunge, inspires individuals
who want to escape the daily grind for a more
meaningful life with practical tips, real
life examples and thoughtful insights.

Work aside, she is a dog lover, a domestic goddess "in
training" and an avid reader who lives in Melbourne with her
partner, Guy.

on career and personal development. Her views have been
sought by magazines, online publications and radio

What's In A
Name?
People often tell us they love the name Clever Fox (we do
too!) so we thought we'd share the story behind the
name.
Foxes are legendary for their wit and
intelligence. Thriving throughout the
world, they can be found just about
anywhere - from dry deserts to the vast expanses of
the Arctic tundra, and even city fringes. The secret
to their success - their ability to adapt and
respond to their surrounds.
That pretty much sums up what Clever Fox is all about.
We aim to help our clients be fox-like so that they
too thrive, regardless of the circumstances they find
themselves in.
