In A Nutshell...

Clever Fox is a boutique consultancy that helps individuals discover fulfilling careers and personally satisfying lives.  We do these through a number of ways - coaching, consulting and specialised career services.

Our philosophy  in simple - "to get serious outcomes the enjoyable way".  This underpins what we do and how we work with our clients.

In 2008, we won an Australian Achiever Award for our approach to customer relations and service.

About Kathleen Alexander

For someone not so old, Kathleen has lived a full life.   She grew up in a Malaysian town where nothing much seemed to happen. 

In her  teens, Kathleen was awarded a full scholarship to study at an international school, the Armand Hammer United World College in the US.  She then completed a BA degree in Business Management also in the US, before venturing into the corporate world, working in Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Sydney and finally Melbourne.

While working in Sydney as Marketing Director for a major international television programmer, she become interested in developing herself further both personally and professionally . 

Much to the horror of her mother, Kathleen packed in the security of a well paying job and embarked on a journey that has included undertaking new studies in the area of human behaviour and Neurolinguistics Programming (NLP), moving to Melbourne, starting up Clever Fox and adjusting to the relatively cold winters in Victoria.

Since establishing Clever Fox, Kathleen has personally coached many individuals in making successful transitions from where they are to where they want to be, delivered professional development seminars across Australia, been interviewed on radio and by magazines for her insight, published articles and facilitated seminars in performance improvement. 

She is one of only a handful of Australians who have passed the stringent process of becoming a Certified Advanced Resume Writer (CARW) and Certified Employment Interview Consultant (CEIC). 

Kathleen currently serves on the international committee of Career Directors, a global association of career professionals. 

What's In A Name?

People often tell us they love the name Clever Fox (we do too!) so we thought we'd share the story behind the name.

Foxes are legendary for their wit and intelligence.  Thriving throughout the world, they can be found just about anywhere - from dry deserts to the vast expanses of the Arctic tundra, and even city fringes.  The secret to their success - their ability to adapt and respond to their surrounds. 

That pretty much sums up what Clever Fox is all about.  We aim to help our clients be fox-like so that they too thrive, regardless of the circumstances they find themselves in.
